*Getting to know
Hilltop Country Greenhouse*

Hilltop Country Greenhouse is owned and operated by

Linda Risser and her family.

We reside at 21663 County Rd 37, St Charles, MN, 55972.

Linda and her family have been in the growing and crafting business for about 14 years. The business has evolved from a retail establishment to part time growing and creating center.

We create and refurbish antique and interesting pots into arrangements of

succulents and hens and chicks. I also specialize in creating miniature gardens of all sorts.

I just created my first broken pot arrangement as a memorial for my

mother and father's gravesite.

In the spring, I grow vegetables, herbs and flowers from seed to be sold at the

Rochester Downtown Farmer's Market in Rochester, MN.

I also sell cut flower arrangements when they are ready.

In the past, I've done living wreaths and living landscape arrangements.

Recently I fell in love with making miniature gardens.

They can be fairy gardens or they can be more angelic and I stock low growing plants

for this purpose and carry repurposed pots and miniature figures as

appropriate for each garden theme.

Although I retired from my full-time job in April of 2014

I'm still only taking appointments for individuals that want to visit

my establishment. I'm retired and enjoying just being able to play

in the greenhouse when it inspires me.

We created a new motto, "Love Grows Here", in 2014

as we started donating 25% of our proceeds to charity.

We reserve the right to determine which charity

has the greatest need when distributing our donations.

We look forward to serving you at the

Farmer's Market on Saturdays, 7:30 am to 12:00 pm

from the beginning of May to the end of October.

In the fall when the cukes are becoming pickles, I specialize

in Kosher Dill Pickles that will give you some pucker power.

I also specialize in making Cinnamon Applesauce in the fall.

Drop by our booth and sample our wares.

We look forward to seeing you!

*Helpful Hint*

Take Time to Deadhead

Weeds aren't the only plants that produce lots of seeds -- some of our favorite flowers (including Fuchsia, Petunias, and Geraniums) can also fill your garden

with their offspring. Stop self-seeding bloomers from getting out of hand by deadheading, or clipping off flowers as they fade.
